Gnome menu's idiosyncrazy....

Okay, fair enough ! ;-)
The problem is that sometimes, it does it straight away, even before I
have time open any sub menu ! :-/  That is, I click on "System", then
move my mouse cursor down a little bit, to be over the "Preferences"
item, and hey presto, it freezes for a second, before being kind enough
to open said sub-menu :-/

Sometimes, I wish I had a magic stick that would tell me exactly what
the hell happens in this bloody machine when it goes wrong. I hate
computers when they misbehave and give you no clue about what they are
unhappy with...... oh boy, I hate them... :-/
