Well, I did ask for comments...
I've never been removed from a list by a third party, and therefore
would rate the risk as low and rather non life-threatening anyway...
(By the way, I didn't post clearly originally; an email from the list
confirming the unsubscription action *is* useful, I was thinking of
removing the extra step of having to reply to a 'do you want to
unsubscribe' email.)
Perhaps the more secure option of needing to confirm unsubscribe could
be set or unset as a user option? Default unset to help new or naive
users, could be user switched to make the process more robust if you
experience malicious unsubscribes? (Mailman may or may not offer this,
of course.)
