problems with unmounting dvd-media

hi list,
i just experimented with http://ogmrip.sourceforge.net/ for ripping dvds
and now experiencing the problem that the media inserted couldn't be
unmount anymore. there's alwas a warning like 'media in use...'.
so my question is:
how do i determine which process locks unmounting of the disk?
are there some esoteric options for ps to find out?
or can i force mount to do it anyways, cause i KNOW theres nothing to
worry about if i kill such process.
