interestingly it seems the us/ca mirror is now using the main uk server address:

daniel at home:~$ host us.archive.ubuntu.com
us.archive.ubuntu.com has address 82.211.81.138
us.archive.ubuntu.com has address 82.211.81.151
daniel at home:~$ host ca.archive.ubuntu.com
ca.archive.ubuntu.com has address 82.211.81.151
ca.archive.ubuntu.com has address 82.211.81.138
daniel at home:~$ host uk.archive.ubuntu.com
uk.archive.ubuntu.com has address 82.211.81.138
uk.archive.ubuntu.com has address 82.211.81.151


the us archive had it share of problem a few weeks ago which probably explain 
the switch
