PPPoE -> DHCP : how to switch ???

Well, in France too, ADSL represents 99% of broadband. Cable coverage
is very limited, only a few big towns have it. It was originally
developped for TV, years before ADSL was available. Then they added
internet access service on top of the usual TV services. If use cable
it's only because the building was already equipped and because it
obviously doesn't rely on a phone line. Only reason why I don't have
ADSL is because you need to rent a land line, which is very expensive.

With cable, I can have broadband without spending fortunes on renting a
phone land line. To telephone, I just use a "pay as you go" mobile
phone.

Hmmm....how else would you do you use it, does cable make coffee in
Australia ?! ;-)

Please ask me anything you want, as long as it helps fixing the bloody

Okay. I pulled the power cable of the modem for a few seconds. Put it
back in again, all the modem lights 'danced' for a few seconds, then it
was working fine...
