XFCE menu in

Most people install xfce4 which is available from universe (IIRC),
however many people are now installing xfce4.2 (which is FAR superior
to 4.0) and doing that by following the instructions found at
www.os-works.com.
However, for now, you could just 'right-click' anywhere on the desktop
to bring up the 'debian' menu in xfce. It's not organised the same
way as the 'applications' menu in gnome, but all your desired
applications should be there.
