I'm not sure how far you want to go with this. Ubuntu Hoary is
supposed to have this working if you do a new install from array disks
(as opposed to upgrading). I believe that you can get pmount in warty
but you have to jump through some hoops to get it working.
This has long been a problem in Linux but I'm sure that once hoary is
a release rather than a development version everything will be skippy.
The way I've been ejecting has been to open up the computer folder in
nautilus and right click the cd-rom then hit eject. Personally I think
it's damn cool that Linux can eject remotely but I also understand the
desire to have the cd button just work.
Hope that helps, let me know if you decide to go with upgrading or
trying pmount and need some more hints.
