[Sorry for the cross-posting - I've missed the right ML]

Hello,

I've had a problem with sound on two of my systems
running Hoary daily installation.

The applet sound control didn't want to launch because
it was not finding any sound device.

After a lot of search and wrong directions I've finally
found that the user which I use to connect to GDM was
not in "audio" group in /etc/group. Which the install
procedure should have done.

[I was not the only one having that bug, so maybe this
correction can be put in an unofficial Hoary Guide]

Also when I've installed the CD, the username was not entered
correctly in /etc/sudoers, so I had to do it by hand
in single user mode.

So I suspect more possible problem and would like to compare
my /etc/group to one freshly installed.

Or someone can give me the script which is launched at install
which setup the rights for one precise user, so I can redoo it
to adjust my install without reinstalling the whole cd.

Thanks.

Jerome.
