Disabling IPv6

One bad thing I found about disabling ipv6 is that the *mail*  command
no longer delivers its mail.  If you use the command *mail <localuser>*
the mail just gets stuck somewhere before getting into their mailbox. 
Doesn't even go into /etc/mail at all.  As soon as I re-enabled ipv6 in
/etc/modprobe.d/aliases,  update-modules, reboot; All the mail magically
appeared in the user's inboxes.
