portmap only listening on 127.0.0.1

Ah yes, I should have mentioned that I've tried that too...  

However, on a whim I rebooted the machine and when it came back up
everything seemed to work just fine...  when I issue the mount command
it takes alike 90 seconds to think things over, but otherwise everything
seems to work...
