Conexant HSF Softmodem Driver for Ubuntu

Forget about Linuxant.  You may as well spend five dollars on ebay for a
modem that works under linux. (Smartlink, Intel, Lucent, not to mention
hardware modems)

It's bad enough that most linux modem drivers are closed-source, but to
actually have to pay for one, too?

The smartest policy is not to crack the driver, but to boycott the
products.
