mount -o remount,exec,user /media/cdrom1
mount: /media/cdrom1 not mounted already, or bad
option
# mount -o remount,exec,user /cdrom
mount: /media/cdrom0 not mounted already, or bad
option
# mount -o remount,exec,user /cdrom1
mount: can't find /cdrom1 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

# mount -o remount,exec,user /dev/hdh
mount: /media/cdrom0 not mounted already, or bad
option
# mount -o remount,exec,user /dev/hdg
mount: /media/cdrom1 not mounted already, or bad
option

Here's the thing. I have installed StarOffice 7 a
couple of times before, admitedly with help, in other
Linux distros, but I have never had to jump through
these kinds of hoops before to get it installed. I
also find it odd that in one instance, the "mount"
command (above) couldn't find /cdrom1 in my fstab when
I just checked and it is in there as plain as day. I
know I am a newbie, but this problem seems pretty
weird to me. The StarOffice 7 CD is designed to work
out of the box in Windows, Linux and Solaris.

Cheers,

Brian
