Hi,
i just want to report from a little Ubuntu Linux Install Party in our
autonomic youth center in Muelheim/Ruhr, a city near by Duesseldorf in
west Germany.
We start with installing and help to install. Some guys, who install
Ubuntu before the party ask their question about problems and concepts
and i hope they get helpful answers.
After the installation we give a quick introduction to synaptic, GNOME,
Ubuntu and Free/Open Software.
Then the people take the chance to test the system or use our computers
with the Live-CD.
The advantage of Ubuntu is the real quick and simple installation. So we
had a lot of time for the introduction, question & answer and above all
test and using the system.
You can find pictures about the event and a report in german on our
project website.
Regards,
Keywan
