Well that's interesting. Maybe it's a bug then. I can't even get the 
alarms to go off with evolution open! Does it not alarm if it's outside 
the work day? That might make sense. Keep in mind I know about as much 
about Evolution as Mike Tyson knows about Quantum Physics. I never 
needed a calendar and all that, so I didn't bother with having a full on 
groupware client.
