You can follow the instructions on this site (as I did)

I've been using it for a while now and really like it, just remember to
follow their instructions - especially if you currently have 4.0.x
installed - otherwise you may end up with a big headache.
FYI the packages on the above site were built by one of the core
developers of XFce on a debian-testing system and work perfectly on
Hoary. Easiest method I found was to use Synaptic and do a search for
xfce4 or xfld (xfce-live-demo). Xfld gives you a few extras like
leafpad, a made-for-xfce xterm, xfmedia and rox filer. All in all there
are ~40+ .deb packages involved with xfld.
