Browsing shares on a Windows 2000 machine

After trying virtually all suggestions posted on these forums, I still
couldn't browse shared folders on a Windows XP Pro machine. Then I
tried this on the Windows machine, and it worked:

1. Open "Network Connections" in Windows XP's Control Panel.
2. Right-click on your LAN connection and then click on "Properties."
3. Click on the "Install" button.
4. Find and install "Service Advertising Protocol" from Microsoft.

I can now connect to and browse all the Windows shares with Nautilus by
clicking on File -> Connect to Server -- and it's fast!

Hope this is helpful.
