Another resource for people new to Linux/Unix that people have pointed
out before is:
http://www.gnoppix.org/pages/rute/rute.html
This starts from the basic and works up to some quite advanced topics.
You might have to make a few adjustments here and there for Ubuntu,
which is a bit more modern than the Linux distributions talked about
in this manual.
