Hoary - Gnoppix Live CD 0.9.3b1 PPC starts install?

Success with X on iBook 800MHz Model M8758LL/A

I was able to get X running by changing the Section "Screen"
DefaultDepth from 24 to 16.  I have had problems before with a depth
of 24 and have had success using 16.

I also had tried to run:
XORGFORCEPROBE=yes dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Resulted with:
sh: gcc: command not found
dpkg-architecture: warning: Couldn't determine gcc system type,
falling back to default (native compilation)
