Alternate Ubuntu Install Methods?

	I have a previous thread which mentions where that happens: "Setup 
failing at 91%".
	It is during the CD-ROM detection and mounting stage.  It happens when 
the 'sd_mod' modules is loaded, which does not appear to be in the list 
of modules I can (de)select in expert mode before the setup attempts the 
task in question.
