Problem with gnome CD creator

When I try to 'write to disc' from nautilus, my cd writer drive doesn't
appear in the 'Write disc to:' dropdown (it defaults to 'File image').

This is odd because (a) it's all fine using cdrecord, and (b) the
nautilus burner used to work (can't summarise though what's changed
between then and now: many updates and added apps).

The login I'm using is a member of these groups:  

dialout
cdrom
floppy
audio
video
plugdev
scanner
hal


Any ideas?
