Hold on a moment. Ubuntu makes great claims for it's community-based
nature and purpose. The list administrators have the power in practise
to do what they want, but it is not in the slightest unreasonable to
expect them to listen to what the 'community' want, and I'm not sure
where would be a better place for that community to discuss it than
here. The old Mussolini-making-the-trains-work-on-time argument doesn't
wash.

And as for this shouting nonsense: would you do this in real life? If
you were at a meeting and you didn't like an agenda item, would you just
scream at people until they stopped? If not, why do you think that kind
of behaviour is reasonable here? 

If you don't like the thread, just don't read it.
