That's true for many Lexmark inkjets.  Lexmark laser printers are
another story.  My Optra E312 work flawlessly. 

Before buying any printer for use on a Linux system, I recommend 
checking <http://www.linuxprinting.org> for information on 
compatibility, drivers, etc.
