Totem filmplayer problem

I've heard of many problems with Totem pertaining to quality of
playback/options and other things.  You should really give xine a try
for DVD playback.  The package xine-ui will take care of that, and then
you can just follow the guide here to get DVD CSS working properly and
other things:
