I installed update-notifier when it was announced the other day which
removed upgrade-notifier. Since then I've been getting these errors
after an apt-get [dist-]upgrade:
<error>
touch: cannot touch `/var/lib/upgrade-notifier/dpkg-run-stamp': No such
file or directory
E: Problem executing scripts DPkg::Post-Invoke 'touch

$ ls -lh /var/lib/|grep up

I realize this is most likely a harmless error but it bothers me
none-the-less and I manually touch
/var/lib/update-notifier/dpkg-run-stamp just to satisfy myself. I could
create /var/lib/upgrade-notifier/dpkg-run-stamp so as to get rid of the
errors but that doesn't seem (to me) like the 'Right Thing' to do.
Any suggestions?
TIA,
Myles
