Idea for Hoary: support Thoggen, the Gnome Ogg Theora DVD Backup application

Hello,

Recently I discovered a promising new application, Thoggen
(http://thoggen.net) that acts as a DVD backup utility. Unlike most
of the existing DVD backup utilities like dvdrip and acidrip, this
application is designed to be sleek and elegant and uses a Gnome/GTK
interface. It also uses gstreamer and hal, and seems to be an
excellent fit to the Ubuntu desktop.

I'm not sure how easy this task is, but if Thoggen could be packaged
for Hoary and some testing done to ensure that the GStreamer backend
in Hoary works for Ogg Theora ripping, this would be an excellent
solution for many Ubuntu users and a valuable contribution to the
Ubuntu Desktop.

It's still alpha software at the moment but it's already functional,
the .deb posted for Debian Sid on http://thoggen.net installs cleanly
onto Ubuntu and the resulting files play back under totem-gstreamer
(not totem-xine though). Something to keep an eye on at the very
least.
