I tried Tbird on XP & never had any problems. I wonder if it's the AMD64
package?

OT: I've been a Linux 'lurker' for quite a while & always found myself
being drawn to the Debian community & philosophy.
It's what first drew me to try out Ubuntu. I'd heard that it was being
developed by Debian & other OSS developers.
Leaving Windows was actually quite scarey, but I'm loving every minute
of it. I stubbornly resolved to do it when I realised that I "couldn't"
live without XP & certain proprietary apps. So far the "experiment" is
progressing nicely. ;)
