Selfish Package Request: VIA Unichrome Drivers

Sorry I cannot help as I am a user not a developer.

I also have several machines that have the via "unichrome" onboard
graphics chip. My xorg.conf file (running hoary) tells me that I am
using the via driver -- although I have had to use the vesa driver in
the past. I do not think that this is the VIA Unichrome Driver you
refer to. I will try your link to the debian package and see if it
works for me.

DVD playback *is* very unpleasant.
