can not acces my firewall

First tell us, what's happening on the java console (only available within
mozilla, firfox need's a plugin
http://www.pryan.org/mozilla/site/TheOneKEA/javaconsole/ to show the
console, but that's not functional on my machine). That should give you a
hint for the problem, if the java-program was well programmed.

Secondly try testing with older versions of the jre. Maybe the
java-interface of your browser uses Classes which are not available or
changed in the class-library of jre 1.5.
