cdrecord - illegal write mode

Hi everyone. On a friend's computer I installed Unbuntu Warty as always
without any problems using the standard sources.

However, since she is a musician, audio cd-burning is a must for her. So
I downloaded gnomebaker 0.3 from their homepage, configured and built
it. When I try to burn an audio-cd, I always run into the following error.

The mp3s are converted correctly by gnomebaker. Gnomebaker does even
start to burn onto a cd. It says.

Writing

The output of gnomebaker says:

[Output]
Writing x MB of Y MB ...
[Output]

After writing 3 MB of the first Track of an audio-cd, gnomebaker stops
burning with an error message. In the log I found this part, which seems
to be interesting.

[error]
cdrecord: Drive does not support TAO recording.
cdrecord: Illegal write mode for this drive.
[/error]

My question, thus: How can this issue be resolved? Is this a problem
with Ubuntus version of cdrecord?

Thanks a lot,
Bernhard
