VMware WinXP and security

One thing to look at is VMware's snapshot feature. Once you have WinXP
installed you can take a snapshot of the system and if things freak
out you can revert to whatever snapshot you feel like. This has the
(un)fortunate effect of destroying ALL changes, but that may be a good
thing :)
What I do is get everything installed and configured, photoshop and
all, snapshot, then save all my work to another drive. Sometimes
putting your documents and settings folder on another drive is
warranted too but this can be a pain in my experience.
This way you can avoid paying the monetary fee and the processor time
fee without risking anything (and unlike the WinXP rollbacks,
snapshots actually work well).
