Hoary - gedit no longer open files in tabs by default

Uptodate Hoary here too. I experience the same problem as Matt, sadly.
Really really sd ! :o(

Sure, if I use gedit to open more files, it will add tabs, but if I
double click on  a text file from nautilus, it does open a new gedit
instance ! :-/

I hope that gets fixed...
