Didn't work :o(
But I had an idea... I checked 'dmesg'. It was filled with millions of
pages of errors related to the TV card.
One of them was :
**
i2c_adapter i2c-1: sendbytes: error - bailout.
tuner: i2c i/o error: rc == -14 (should be 4)
tuner: i2c i/o error: rc == -121 (should be 4)
tuner: i2c i/o error: rc == -121 (should be 4)
**
Looks like hoary is having problems controlling the i2c bus....hence the
Tuner. THat would explain my problems with XawTV, which can play back
video and sound fine once it's started, but is unable to control the
tuner to make it switch to another station/frequency.
Given that it works perfectly in Warty, with no error messages
whatsoever, I have to assume that it's a bug somewhere in Hoary... so
must file it... that's what development versions are after all...
