[Hoary] Watching TV ?

Good old XawTV works fine in Warty (with a cheap "BT878" Pinnacle PC TV
card), but in Hoary, not quite ! :-/
So I thought it was time to search for a more modern alternative, and
what a great opportunity, to replace it with a lovely Gnome program.
So I searched gnomefiles.org for 'tv'. Found about half a dozen TV
viewers, only one looked nice : "Zapping TV".
I found it in Synaptic, great ! But it refuses to start, and pops up a
little error message : "Cannot find X screens"... Any idea ?
I noticed that no later than yesterday, a new version of Zapping, was
released, so tried to compile it, to see if it made any difference, but
the ./configure fails, saying :
***
checking for python... true
configure: error: Python.h not found in its standard location
***
Is anyone successful with Zapping TV on Hoary ? Or with XawTV ?
I don't spend much time on TV, but when I do, I would rather like it to
work ! :-/
Thanks for any help....
Vince
