Help with VMware

I finally got VMware running, but every time i boot into Ubuntu and try to 
run VMware i get the message that it has not been configured. I must then 
run the VMware config utility each time i boot into Ubuntu. Any ideas or 
suggestions why this happens and how to stop it will be greatly appreciated.
