[hoary] usb freezes my notebook

i've been using hoary now for a cople of weeks and now i found that if i 
plug in my usb key i see the devices created very slowly with some errors
...

...

and when i plug off the usb key my nb completely freezes with no hope to 
have a shell or something ... i have to hardly reset...

anyone has this problem? i know a friend of mine gets the same behaviour 
with a fresh hoary upgrade...
