anyone using PureData and/or Supercollider in Ubuntu?

hi

is anyone in the list using Pure Data or Supercollider in Ubuntu?
i am not experienced on using this sound apps under unix, i just 
switched to osx and linux very recently.

I am testing PD and i get some weird clicks when i move the mouse. This 
gets worst if i have several patches open at the same time. I played 
around with the -audiobuf flag etc... but it didnt get much better.
