This is what happens when you don't get a reply from the list :-( I
wanted to install Rubrica, but got the error that libxslt needed to be
at => 1.1 1.8. I asked the list how to upgrade/install 1.1 1.8 without
screwing up my Warty install. No reply. So, I downloaded the package
and tried the command sudo dpkg --dry-run -i
libxslt1.1_1.1.12-5_i386.deb No bad output, so I tried sudo dpkg -i
libxslt1.1_1.1.12-5_i386.deb and got:

sudo dpkg -i libxslt1.1_1.1.12-5_i386.deb
(Reading database ... 80206 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace libxslt1.1 1.1.7-1ubuntu2 (using

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libxslt1.1:

  Package libgcrypt11 is not installed.
 libxslt1.1 depends on libgpg-error0 (>= 1.0); however:
  Version of libgpg-error0 on system is 0.7-1.
 libxslt1.1 depends on libxml2 (>= 2.6.16); however:
  Version of libxml2 on system is 2.6.11-3ubuntu1.1.
dpkg: error processing libxslt1.1 (--install):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
 libxslt1.1

So I went to Synaptic and tried to remove the package, but Synaptic
wants to basically remove all of GNOME and what I have of KDE for K3B.
I tried to reinstall the old package and get the same message. What
can I do to get out of this without screwing up my system totaly.
Ubuntu Warty is all that I have on my box.

Cheers,

Brian
