making screen-ed application beep

Hello.

Just a quick question, as I can't seem to be able to google this one:
I'm running a command-line instant messenger in a screen session. The
default for screen is to generate visual bells, i.e. flash the terminal
instead of beeping the speaker; this might be ok for a session I'm
looking at, but not for an instant messenger window running on another
workspace.

My question is: is there an option for screen to pass the actual
bell and, thusly, beep the speaker instead of flashing the terminal?

Cheers,
