My old IBM DTLA 60GB is:
Timing buffered disk reads: 108 MB in 3.03 seconds = 35.63 MB/sec
My 1.5 years old WD 120GB:
Timing buffered disk reads: 142 MB in 3.00 seconds = 47.28 MB/sec
