Biometrics is not the be all and end all of security it has its flaws.
The possibility of False possitives exists which means that a incorrect
fingerprint(or retinal scan etc.) could be authenticated as a correct
finger print. There are also techniques to spoof the biometric data. I
have read articles about gel molds that can be created to fit over your
finger to fake someone's fingerprint. I think the key to security is the
implementation of multiple security systems. Biometrics needs to be used
in conjunction with a good password/pass-phrase policy.
