Newbie trying to see VDC and DVD with Totem.

Hi Brian

These are metapackages which list a group of other packages, and that
is only really useful during an initial install.

That's why everyone is advising you not to worry.

When your system is installed, updating the package list and doing a
dist-upgrade is sufficient to keep your system in order.
