I click on "Edit Virtual machine Settings", which opens a dialog window,
then I slect the"option" tab, then "Shared Folders" then I click on the
"Add...' button, and I can select the folders I want to share.

Well, with the guest/virtual machine, that runs Win XP.

But not to worry anymore. It seems that Warty is okay now. I rebooted
the machine, it cheched the filesystem, told me that my home partition
was VERY damaged, and that I should run "fsdsk" (or something like that,
can't remember). I did that, and then it said that this could lead to
SEVERE file system damage. But I had no choice, as I was stuck on the
command line, the boot process would not resume.
It found, at a rough guess say a hundred errors !! for each and every
error, I had to press enter, it would ask me if I wanted to fix it. But
it was all very technical and I was not understand any of it, so what
elese could I do, other than say yes and press enter.

Then I rebooted, Gnome started, with a few errors. Restarted it a few
times, and it seems to work oaky now. I don't have problems with wall
papers or sounds etc.

I don't know why the file system suddently got corrupt. Maybe the hard
drive is a bit defective and I should change it before I lose my
data....
Also, it said that the home partition was fragmented (2.8%), should I be
worried ? How to un-framgent it ? I uses ext3.
