It's also possible to run wine in qemu-i386 which runs x86 ELFs on other
platforms that natively support their own arch ELFs. There's a howto on qemu's
website (use google, I don't remember off hand) for getting i386 glibc and wine
on other archs.
Note: it's much slower this way.
