Newbie display problem

Hi
First I'd like to say that I think Ubuntu is great.It's the first linux 
distro that I've been able to install easily and have wanted to keep 
using after I installed it.The problem I've been having is that:
I'm running Warty on a PowerMac G4 with a Apple studio display.If I boot 
up from an off state,I get a bright orange-red screen for about 2 
seconds before the Ubuntu splash-login screen loads.Everything seems to 
be working ok until the display goes to sleep,then I get the orange red 
screen instead of a normal black screen.If I've been running MacOSX and 
reboot into Ubuntu,I don't have this problem.Since I'm new to linux,I 
don't really have any idea where to start looking.My video card is a 
Nvidia GeForce 2 MX,if that makes any difference.Any help would be 
greatly appreciated.
