You can download a "generic kernel" from the Win4Lin site which works
well with Ubuntu. I downloaded
Kernel-Win4Lin3-NeTraverse1.0_2.6.8.1-03.i686.rpm, converted it to a
.deb with alien and it installed without problems. I had to edit
menu.lst by hand to get grub to recognize the kernel, however.
