VMware on Ubuntu?

Okay, I ran the configuration script again, this time answering "no"
about everything. Seems to work now, I can start vmware, and my internet
connection still works (as this message proves :-).
I created a new virtual machine, for XP Pro, then clicked to start it
and... "Please enter serial number" ! Hmmmmmm..... I was sure I
downloaded the demo version.... how comes...

Good thing is, vmware does start now. So even if my configuration is not
right, at least I can access all the dialog windows to configure it at
will. 

Oh yes forgot, I must look at the Ubuntu Wiki page now, to do that
little tweak, whatever it does, if it's there, it must be there for a
reason.... :-)
