hoary powerpc live CD 09/02/05 X but no networking...

The 09/02/05 daily build for the hoary powerpc live CD is now giving me
X on a G4 iBook and still working on G3 iBook and iMac, hooray :)

However, the networking seems to have gone awry on all these, it's
exiting the installer at the set up networking point back to the menu and
has to be told to carry on and detect hardware manually.
