8-) Thanks for the URL Herman, but I got the short answer from the
Ubuntu User Forum. The answer is: sudo chown user:user .ICEauthority.
You have to log into a failsafe terminal at startup. The interesting
thing is that in the thread, the problem is experienced when using K3B
as local user. I used sudo, not gksudo or local user and ran into the
same problem.
