Sorry, my mistake. Memory does not srve quite accurately (age maybe?) so
the terms are not wexactly as they should be. The correct ones are told
above my reply in the thread: 

Computer-> System Configuration-> Synaptic Package Manager-> Enter
password-> Reload-> Mark All Upgrades-> Smart Upgrade-> Apply and carry
on from there
