Live CD configures sound, howto copy config to Ubuntu on HDB1

I could not undertand why I had no sound when I booted with the Warty Live CD.

Rather than choosing the cheap PCI sound card, it found the one on the
motherboard.

Any direction on how to copy the sound config from the live cd system
to the Ubuntu Warty system loaded on my hda1?
